Strengthen Your Craft with Acclaimed Broadway Actor and Coach, Azudi Onyejekwe

Sharpen your skills and strengthen your foundation in Broadway Rise’s Acting Fundamentals Class, led by accomplished stage and screen actor Azudi Onyejekwe. Held every Wednesday from 7:00–3:00 PM, this class is designed for both beginners and actors with experience who want to build solid technique and gain confidence in their craft.

In a supportive, technique-driven environment, you’ll explore core acting principles such as script analysis, character development, vocal and physical preparation, and truthful connection to text. Through targeted exercises, scene work, and practical tools, you’ll develop the skills that allow you to bring authenticity and presence to every role.

Azudi’s professional experience on Broadway, television, and film informs his practical, empowering approach to teaching. Whether you’re preparing for future auditions or stepping into acting for the first time, this class will give you the foundation you need to do your best work—on stage, on camera, and in life.

Azudi Onyejekwe

Azudi Onyejekwe believes that every performer has a unique story to tell—and his teaching philosophy centers on empowering actors to connect authentically with material, build confidence, and bring truth and specificity to every performance. He fosters a supportive, challenging, and joyful environment where students can take risks, develop technique, and grow both as artists and individuals.

Azudi is a New York-based actor, singer, and educator with an extensive background in theater, television, and film. His Broadway credits include Violet and The Great Comet of 1812, where he worked alongside Tony Award-winning creatives. His television appearances include roles on Blue Bloods, Madam Secretary, and The Blacklist, showcasing his versatility across mediums. Azudi holds a BFA from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), one of the nation’s top programs for musical theater and acting.

As a teacher, Azudi brings both professional experience and a deep understanding of craft to his students, guiding them toward fearless performance and truthful storytelling. His approach blends rigorous technique with a passion for character exploration, helping students prepare for auditions, stage, and screen with clarity, precision, and heart.

    Shoes should also be suitable for movement and dancing, such as dance shoes, sneakers or sandals with straps.
