PROGRAM POLICIES & TERMS
Kids & Teens Programs
By enrolling in a Broadway Rise program, class, workshop, camp, intensive, or production, the enrolling parent/guardian or adult participant agrees to the following Program Policies & Terms.
Enrollment & Tuition
Enrollment is confirmed upon completion of registration and receipt of any required deposit or payment.
Enrollment in a semester-based program represents a commitment to the program for the full semester. Enrollment in a production program represents a commitment to the full rehearsal and performance period.
Selecting a payment plan does not convert tuition into a pay-per-class arrangement. Unless otherwise stated in these policies, the full tuition obligation applies regardless of whether tuition is paid in full or through installments.
Enrollment Deposits
Enrollment deposits reserve a student’s place in a program that Broadway Rise may otherwise have offered to another student.
Deposits are non-refundable once the applicable program or rehearsal process has begun.
At the discretion of Broadway Rise management, a deposit may be transferred to another eligible Broadway Rise program within the same season, provided space is available. Transfers are not guaranteed and may not be possible for programs that are full or have progressed too far to accommodate a new student.
Refunds, Withdrawals & Program Credits
Except where specifically provided below, tuition and program fees are non-refundable once a program has begun.
Broadway Rise understands that circumstances can change. Where these policies permit a withdrawal credit, Broadway Rise may apply eligible tuition paid toward a future Broadway Rise program rather than issue a cash refund.
Program credits have no cash value, are subject to program availability, and must be used within 12 months of the date they are issued.
Payment-plan participants are subject to the same withdrawal and refund policies as participants who pay tuition in full. A payment plan does not provide a right to discontinue the tuition commitment simply by stopping future installments.
Production Programs
Broadway Rise production programs involve casting, licensing, staffing, creative planning, rehearsal scheduling, performance preparation, and other expenses and commitments that begin as soon as a production gets underway. For this reason, production programs are subject to additional enrollment and withdrawal requirements.
Withdrawals & Refunds
Before rehearsals begin: If a participant withdraws before the first scheduled rehearsal, Broadway Rise will retain the enrollment deposit and will refund any tuition paid above the deposit.
After rehearsals begin, but before the conclusion of the second scheduled rehearsal/session: The enrollment deposit is non-refundable. If Broadway Rise receives written notice of withdrawal before the conclusion of the second scheduled rehearsal/session, Broadway Rise will refund any tuition paid above the enrollment deposit.
After the conclusion of the second scheduled rehearsal/session: Tuition is non-refundable and non-creditable for any reason, and the participant remains responsible for the full tuition commitment.
These policies apply regardless of whether tuition was paid in full or through a payment plan. Where the full tuition commitment remains due, withdrawal does not cancel, reduce, or excuse remaining scheduled payments.
Casting
Enrollment guarantees participation in the production but does not guarantee any particular role, character, solo, line assignment, featured material, amount of stage time, or casting outcome.
Casting decisions are made by the Broadway Rise creative team based on the needs of the production and are final.
Dissatisfaction with casting is not grounds for a refund, credit, withdrawal from the tuition commitment, or cancellation of remaining payments.
Broadway Rise also reserves the right to modify casting, roles, assignments, staging, featured material, or participation when reasonably necessary due to attendance, student needs, production requirements, illness, safety considerations, or other circumstances affecting the production.
Attendance & Production Commitment
Consistent attendance is particularly important in production programs because each participant’s work affects the entire cast.
Families should disclose known rehearsal, tech, dress rehearsal, and performance conflicts before enrolling.
Excessive absences, repeated lateness, or absence from required rehearsals may result in changes to a student’s role, staging, material, or participation in portions of the production when Broadway Rise determines that doing so is necessary for the production.
Such adjustments do not create an entitlement to a refund, credit, tuition reduction, or cancellation of remaining payments.
Performances, Tech & Dress Rehearsals
Scheduled performances and designated mandatory rehearsals, including tech and dress rehearsals, are part of the production program.
Failure or inability to attend a performance, tech rehearsal, dress rehearsal, or other required production call does not entitle a participant to a refund, credit, or reduction in tuition.
Regular Semester Classes
Tuition for semester-based classes is non-refundable once the program has begun.
When a student needs to withdraw during the early portion of a semester, Broadway Rise may, at management’s discretion, allow eligible tuition paid to be transferred as a credit toward a future Broadway Rise program.
Requests for such credit must be received at least 48 hours before the student’s third scheduled class. After that deadline, no refund, transfer, or credit will be provided.
Enrollment deposits remain subject to the deposit policy above.
Prorated Tuition & Late Enrollment
Broadway Rise does not prorate tuition for returning students or because of missed classes, rehearsals, holidays, performances, or individual absences.
For a new student enrolling after a program has already begun, Broadway Rise may, at management’s discretion, offer prorated tuition. Prorating is not guaranteed and will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
Some programs cannot accommodate late enrollment due to the nature of the curriculum, casting, rehearsal process, or progression of the class. Families interested in joining a program are therefore encouraged to enroll before the start date to ensure availability and eligibility to participate.
Attendance, Absences & Make-Ups
Regular attendance is strongly encouraged and may be required for certain programs.
Broadway Rise does not guarantee individual make-up classes for participant absences. Missing a class, rehearsal, or other program session does not entitle a participant to prorated tuition, a refund, or a credit.
When appropriate and space permits, Broadway Rise may, at its discretion, allow a student to attend another compatible class or cast as a make-up. Such arrangements must be approved in advance and are not guaranteed.
Weather, Snow, Emergencies & Broadway Rise Cancellations
Broadway Rise does not automatically cancel programming because of snow, rain, or other inclement weather.
Classes and rehearsals will generally proceed unless Broadway Rise determines that cancellation is necessary due to a government-declared state of emergency, force majeure event, unsafe conditions, venue closure, transportation disruption, or another circumstance affecting the safe or practical operation of the program.
Broadway Rise reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a class, rehearsal, performance, or other program session for any reason.
When Broadway Rise cancels an individual class or rehearsal, the session will be made up at a later date or through another reasonable make-up arrangement determined by Broadway Rise. No refund or tuition credit will be issued for a canceled session when a make-up session or reasonable alternative is provided.
If Broadway Rise permanently cancels an entire program and is unable to provide a reasonable replacement or alternative, affected families will receive an appropriate refund or credit for the portion of programming Broadway Rise is unable to provide.
Schedule, Venue & Faculty Changes
Broadway Rise reserves the right to make reasonable changes to program schedules, class times, studios, classrooms, rehearsal locations, performance venues, faculty, directors, musical directors, choreographers, creative team members, and other operational or artistic details when necessary.
Faculty substitutions, reasonable schedule adjustments, room or venue changes, and comparable operational changes do not automatically entitle a participant to a refund or credit.
Broadway Rise will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes to affected families.
Workshops, Masterclasses & Intensives
Registration fees for workshops, masterclasses, intensives, audition workshops, and other limited-capacity or one-time programs are non-refundable unless Broadway Rise cancels the program.
At management’s discretion and subject to availability, Broadway Rise may permit registration to be transferred to another eligible offering. Transfers are not guaranteed.
Trial Classes
Trial class fees are non-refundable.
With sufficient advance notice, Broadway Rise may, at management’s discretion and subject to availability, allow a trial class to be rescheduled or transferred to another eligible class.
Conduct & Student Participation
Broadway Rise is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, supportive, and productive learning environment.
Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward fellow students, faculty, staff, venues, and Broadway Rise property and to follow reasonable instructions relating to safety and participation.
Broadway Rise reserves the right to address behavior that is disruptive, unsafe, threatening, harassing, bullying, discriminatory, destructive, or substantially interferes with the learning or rehearsal environment.
Depending on the circumstances, Broadway Rise may communicate with the participant or parent/guardian, establish behavioral expectations, temporarily limit participation, or remove a participant from a program when necessary to protect students, staff, or the integrity of the program.
Serious misconduct or continued behavioral issues after reasonable intervention may result in dismissal from a program. Any refund or credit following dismissal will be determined by Broadway Rise based on the circumstances and is not guaranteed.
Parent & Guardian Attendance
To support student independence and maintain a focused learning environment, parents and guardians generally do not remain in the classroom or rehearsal room during programming unless expressly invited or authorized by Broadway Rise.
Broadway Rise may invite families to designated observations, presentations, workshops, performances, or other events.
Health & Illness
Participants should not attend programming when experiencing a contagious illness or when attendance would reasonably pose a health risk to other students or staff.
Broadway Rise may ask a participant who becomes ill during programming to be picked up or to refrain from participating.
Absences due to illness are treated as participant absences and do not ordinarily qualify for refunds, credits, or prorated tuition.
Clothing & Footwear
Participants should arrive in clothing and footwear appropriate for the activities involved in their program.
For classes involving significant movement or dance, secure footwear that allows safe movement should be worn unless the instructor specifies particular dance shoes, socks, bare feet, or other requirements.
Broadway Rise may establish additional attire or footwear requirements for particular classes, rehearsals, performances, or productions.
Media & Photography
Broadway Rise may photograph or record classes, rehearsals, performances, and other activities in accordance with the applicable media consent or release provided by the participant or parent/guardian.
Additional permissions may be requested for particular filming, promotional, educational, or professional-media opportunities when appropriate.
Discounts, Scholarships & Promotional Rates
Discounts, scholarships, promotional rates, early enrollment rates, sibling discounts, multi-program discounts, and other special offers are subject to their stated eligibility requirements and availability.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, discounts and promotional offers may not be combined and have no cash value.
Broadway Rise reserves the right to correct pricing or discount errors and to establish reasonable terms applicable to particular promotions.
Returned, Failed & Reversed Payments
Participants are responsible for maintaining a valid payment method for scheduled tuition payments.
If a scheduled payment fails, is returned, disputed, or reversed, Broadway Rise may contact the account holder and request an alternative payment method.
Failure to bring an account current may result in suspension of participation until payment arrangements are resolved. A failed or canceled payment method does not cancel the participant’s tuition obligation.
Changes to These Policies
Broadway Rise may update these Program Policies periodically. The policies applicable to an enrollment will generally be those presented or agreed to in connection with that enrollment, except where a later change is required by law or expressly agreed to by the participant or parent/guardian.
Broadway Rise Adult Program Policies
By purchasing or participating in a Broadway Rise adult class, trial, workshop, intensive, or other adult program, the participant agrees to the following policies.
Adult Weekly Classes
Trial Classes
A first-time participant may purchase one $25 trial class for each eligible adult weekly program.
Trial pricing is available only to participants who have not previously attended that particular program. A participant who has attended the program before—whether through a trial, package, promotional offer, complimentary class, or single-class purchase—is not eligible for another trial in the same program.
A trial class must be booked and attended within 14 calendar days of purchase. An unused trial expires automatically at the end of that period and is non-refundable, non-transferable, and not eligible for credit or extension.
Trial classes are subject to availability and must be reserved in advance. Purchasing a trial does not reserve a particular class date or guarantee future enrollment in the program.
Class Packages
Following the trial, weekly adult classes are purchased through the following packages:
A 4-class package, valid for six weeks from the date of purchase.
An 8-class package, valid for twelve weeks from the date of purchase.
Packages are designed to provide flexibility while supporting consistency in training.
Unless Broadway Rise expressly states otherwise in writing:
Packages begin on the date of purchase.
All classes must be attended before the package expiration date.
Unused classes expire at the end of the applicable validity period.
Expired classes are forfeited and are not refundable, creditable, or transferable.
Package validity is not extended because of personal scheduling conflicts, travel, work obligations, missed bookings, late cancellations, or failure to use the package.
Packages may not be paused, shared, transferred, sold, or used by another person.
Packages have no cash value.
Packages cannot be applied retroactively to classes already attended.
Packages may be used only for the program or eligible classes identified at purchase.
Broadway Rise may approve an exception or extension in a documented extraordinary circumstance. Any exception is entirely at management’s discretion, must be confirmed in writing, and does not establish a continuing policy or precedent.
Booking Weekly Classes
Advance booking is required for all adult weekly classes.
Classes must be booked by 3:00 p.m. on the day of the class. A participant is not guaranteed a place unless the booking has been confirmed by Broadway Rise.
Late booking requests may be accommodated in exceptional circumstances, subject to instructor approval, program suitability, and available capacity. To request a late booking, the participant must contact Broadway Rise by email, text, or telephone.
Sending a late-booking request does not confirm enrollment. The participant may attend only after receiving confirmation from Broadway Rise.
Broadway Rise may decline a booking when:
The class is full.
The booking deadline has passed.
The participant does not have an active package or eligible trial.
The participant’s account is not current.
Participation would otherwise be unsafe, inappropriate, or impractical.
Weekly Class Cancellations and No-Shows
A reservation for an adult weekly class must be canceled by 12:00 p.m. on the day of the class.
When Broadway Rise receives a cancellation by the deadline, the class will be returned to the participant’s active package. Returning a class to a package does not extend the package’s original expiration date.
Cancellations received after 12:00 p.m. and failure to attend a confirmed booking will be treated as late cancellations. The class will be deducted from the participant’s package as though it had been attended.
Broadway Rise may waive a late-cancellation or no-show deduction in a documented emergency or other exceptional circumstance. Any waiver is at management’s discretion, is not guaranteed, and does not establish a precedent for future exceptions.
Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in limits on advance booking or other reasonable restrictions.
Package Payments and Refunds
Adult class packages are non-refundable once purchased, except where required by law or when Broadway Rise permanently cancels the applicable program and cannot provide a reasonable alternative.
Failure to attend, schedule, or use all classes before expiration does not entitle the participant to a refund, credit, extension, replacement class, or partial reimbursement.
Selecting a payment plan does not convert a package into a pay-per-class arrangement. The participant remains responsible for all payments included in the package or payment agreement.
Adult Workshops, Intensives and Limited-Capacity Programs
Registration for adult workshops, intensives, masterclasses, performance programs, and other limited-capacity offerings is non-refundable.
Registration represents a commitment to the complete program. Broadway Rise makes staffing, venue, scheduling, curriculum, and capacity commitments based on confirmed enrollment.
A participant’s inability to attend or complete a workshop—including because of scheduling conflicts, travel, work obligations, relocation, dissatisfaction, casting, role assignment, or voluntary withdrawal—does not cancel the tuition commitment.
Workshop Payment Plans
A payment plan is a method of paying the full workshop tuition over time. It is not a pay-per-session arrangement.
Participants who enroll through a payment plan remain responsible for the complete tuition amount through the final scheduled payment, even if they stop attending or withdraw from the workshop.
Withdrawal does not cancel, reduce, or excuse remaining installments. Canceling, replacing, or allowing a payment method to fail does not cancel the underlying tuition obligation.
Failure to maintain payments may result in suspension or removal from the workshop without eliminating the outstanding balance.
Medical Withdrawal Credit
If a participant is unable to continue a workshop because of illness or injury, Broadway Rise may offer a credit toward a future eligible adult workshop when:
The participant provides prompt written notice of withdrawal.
The participant provides documentation from a licensed medical provider confirming that the participant is medically unable to continue during the applicable program period.
The request and documentation are submitted within a reasonable period determined by Broadway Rise.
The participant’s account is otherwise current and in good standing.
Medical documentation does not need to disclose a diagnosis, but it must confirm the participant’s inability to participate and the relevant period of restriction.
An approved medical credit:
Is not a cash refund.
Applies only to eligible tuition as determined by Broadway Rise.
Excludes deposits, registration fees, materials, costumes, tickets, processing fees, completed portions of the program, and other nonrecoverable costs.
Is subject to program availability and eligibility requirements.
Must be used within 12 months of issuance.
May not be transferred, sold, shared, or redeemed for cash.
May be limited to one medical credit per enrollment.
Does not guarantee placement in a particular future workshop.
Broadway Rise may calculate the credit by deducting the value of programming already provided and any nonrecoverable costs from the amount actually paid.
Approval of a medical credit does not automatically cancel unpaid installments. Broadway Rise will confirm in writing whether the credit applies to amounts already paid, remaining installments, or both.
Broadway Rise may request reasonable clarification or decline documentation that is incomplete, untimely, unverifiable, or does not confirm an inability to participate.
Attendance and Participation
Participants are responsible for reviewing the complete schedule and disclosing known conflicts before enrolling.
Missed classes, rehearsals, workshops, performances, or other sessions do not ordinarily qualify for make-ups, refunds, prorating, extensions, or credits.
Broadway Rise does not guarantee that missed material can be repeated or that a participant can be placed in another class. Any make-up or alternative arrangement is discretionary, subject to availability, and may not be appropriate for progressive or performance-based programs.
Late arrival may affect whether a participant can safely or productively join a class. Broadway Rise may ask a late participant to observe or may decline participation when warm-up, safety, disruption, or curriculum considerations make late entry inappropriate. This does not create a right to a refund or replacement class.
Program Changes and Broadway Rise Cancellations
Broadway Rise may make reasonable changes to instructors, studios, venues, schedules, curriculum, class format, or other program details when necessary.
An instructor substitution, reasonable schedule adjustment, venue change, or comparable operational change does not automatically entitle a participant to a refund or credit.
When Broadway Rise cancels an individual weekly class, the affected class will be returned to the participant’s active package or replaced through another reasonable arrangement. When necessary, Broadway Rise will provide a reasonable package extension so the replacement class can be used.
When Broadway Rise permanently cancels an entire workshop or program and cannot provide a reasonable replacement, affected participants will receive an appropriate refund or credit for the portion of programming Broadway Rise cannot provide.
Broadway Rise does not automatically cancel programming because of snow, rain, or other inclement weather. Health, Safety and Participant Responsibility
Participants should not attend when experiencing a contagious illness or when participation would reasonably create a health or safety risk.
Each participant is responsible for determining whether they are physically able to participate. Participants should notify the instructor of relevant injuries, limitations, or accessibility needs before class without being required to disclose unnecessary private medical information.
Broadway Rise may modify or limit participation when reasonably necessary for safety. Participants are responsible for following instructor directions and wearing clothing and footwear appropriate for the activity.
An absence caused by illness does not automatically qualify for a refund, package extension, replacement class, or credit. The medical-credit provision applies only to eligible workshop withdrawals that satisfy its stated requirements.
Conduct
Broadway Rise is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, inclusive, and productive environment.
Participants must behave respectfully toward other participants, instructors, staff, venues, and Broadway Rise property. Disruptive, unsafe, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, destructive, or abusive conduct is prohibited.
Broadway Rise may warn, suspend, restrict, or remove a participant when reasonably necessary to protect participants, staff, venues, or the integrity of the program.
Serious misconduct or repeated violations may result in dismissal. A refund or credit following dismissal is not guaranteed and will be determined by Broadway Rise based on the circumstances and applicable law.
Dismissal does not automatically cancel an outstanding payment obligation.
Promotions and Discounts
Promotions, discounts, scholarships, complimentary classes, and special rates are subject to their stated terms, eligibility requirements, and availability.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, offers may not be combined, transferred, redeemed for cash, or applied retroactively.
Broadway Rise may correct pricing or discount errors and establish reasonable terms for particular promotions.
Failed, Reversed or Disputed Payments
Participants are responsible for maintaining a valid payment method for scheduled payments.
If a payment fails, is returned, disputed, or reversed, Broadway Rise may request an alternative payment method and may suspend participation or booking privileges until the account is brought current.
A failed, canceled, disputed, or replaced payment method does not cancel the participant’s payment obligation.
Program Credits
Unless different written terms apply, an approved adult-program credit:
Has no cash value.
Is non-transferable.
Is subject to availability and program eligibility.
Cannot be combined with another credit or promotion unless Broadway Rise approves it.
Must be used within 12 months of issuance.
Expires permanently if not used by the applicable deadline.
Management Discretion and Policy Exceptions
Any exception to these policies must be approved by Broadway Rise management in writing.
An exception made for one participant or circumstance does not waive Broadway Rise’s right to enforce these policies in another circumstance and does not modify the policies for future purchases or enrollments.
Broadway Rise’s failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not constitute a permanent waiver of that provision.
Policy Changes
Broadway Rise may update these Adult Program Policies periodically.
The policies applicable to a purchase or enrollment will generally be those presented or agreed to at the time of purchase, except when a later change is required by law or expressly accepted by the participant.
